Start with one sentence
The easiest way to design a memorable Mii is to begin with a single sentence:
A retired pop idol who now runs a sleepy flower stall.
That sentence already contains mood, history, and social texture.
Give every Mii a job inside the island
A good concept answers one hidden question: what do they do for the overall save?
- They stabilize the mood.
- They create conflict.
- They connect friend groups.
- They make the island visually stranger.
Without that role, even a stylish Mii can fade into the background.
Keep a short note stack
For each new concept, store three quick notes:
- a core vibe,
- one visual anchor,
- one likely friendship or rivalry.
That gives you enough detail to use later without overbuilding.

Sketch the character with the Mii Idea Generator, then use the Compatibility Tester or Personality Quiz to turn the concept into a playable resident.
