Overview
TomoTools is a fan-made planning site for Tomodachi Life players. Most tools on the public site work directly in your browser and do not require an account.
This policy explains what stays on your device, what technical information may be processed to keep the site running, and what happens if you choose to use the public contact page.
What stays in your browser
Several TomoTools features are local-first. That means the notes you enter stay in your own browser instead of being uploaded to a TomoTools database.
This can include:
- Food and gift tracker records
- Relationship tracker entries
- Interface preferences such as locale or display settings
If you clear browser storage, switch browsers, or move to another device, that local data may disappear unless you export it yourself first.
Support email
The public support path on TomoTools is ordinary email at hello@islebuddies.com. The contact page opens your own mail app with a prefilled draft to that address.
TomoTools does not upload tracker data just because you open the Contact page. Only the information you choose to send in your email leaves your device.
Once you send that email, its contents are handled by your own email provider and the inbox receiving it. Please do not include sensitive personal information that you would not want sent over normal email.
Technical information
Like most websites, TomoTools may process limited technical information such as:
- IP address
- Browser and device details
- Request logs needed for hosting, security, and troubleshooting
This information is used to keep the site available, protect it from abuse, and understand technical failures. It is not used for advertising on the public fan site.
Analytics and advertising
The public TomoTools site does not use advertising cookies, social-media tracking cookies, or interest-based targeting storage.
If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated before the new behavior becomes part of the public site.
Third parties
TomoTools may rely on third-party services for hosting, security, and email delivery. Those providers may process limited data only as needed to deliver their service.
Your choices
You can:
- Clear local browser storage for TomoTools at any time
- Export tracker data before clearing storage or switching devices
- Avoid sending personal information by email
